SELECTED TOOLS

Tools for real production work.

This selection shows what AV Toolkit brings to planning, setup, and troubleshooting. The complete app includes 31 tools.

01 / 14
Delay Calculator: 10 m · 20 °C · 29.1 ms

Delay Calculator

Calculates the delay time from distance and air temperature to align a speaker with the main PA.

Why you need it

So delay towers and fill speakers stay in sync with the main PA without manual math.

02 / 14
LED Screen Size: 12 × 6 cabinets · 3.9 mm

LED Screen Size

Uses cabinet layout and pixel pitch to calculate physical dimensions, pixel resolution, and screen position.

Why you need it

So rigging dimensions, processor canvas, and content resolution describe the same wall.

03 / 14
Projection Calculator: 6.00 m image · 12.00 m throw

Projection Calculator

Calculates throw distance, image width, or lens ratio while keeping all three values easy to verify.

Why you need it

So projector position, required image size, and available lens match before setup begins.

04 / 14
DIP Switch: DMX address 317

DIP Switch

Translates a DMX address directly into the position of all nine DIP switches.

Why you need it

So older fixtures can be addressed quickly and unambiguously without a manual.

05 / 14
Art-Net Universe Converter: Port-Address 347

Art-Net Universe Converter

Converts between decimal universe, Net, Sub-Net, and Art-Net Universe values.

Why you need it

So consoles, nodes, and software reach the same universe despite different numbering conventions.

06 / 14
Fixture Spacing: 12 m truss · 8 fixtures

Fixture Spacing

Distributes fixtures symmetrically across a truss and shows spacing and edge offsets.

Why you need it

So hanging positions are directly measurable instead of being estimated by eye.

07 / 14
Fixture Patcher: 8 fixtures · 28 channels

Fixture Patcher

Plans consecutive DMX address ranges from a start address, fixture count, and channel footprint.

Why you need it

So a patch remains contiguous and address overlaps are visible before programming.

08 / 14
DMX <> Percent: 75% · 8 bit · DMX 191

DMX <> Percent

Converts DMX and percentage values at 8-bit or 16-bit resolution.

Why you need it

So percentages from specifications and concrete DMX values can be compared without mental arithmetic.

09 / 14
Electrical Calculator: 230 V · 16 A · PF 0.95

Electrical Calculator

Relates current, voltage, power, and energy for common single- and three-phase applications.

Why you need it

So connected loads and available supplies can be sanity-checked before distribution.

10 / 14
Power Factor: 12 kW · PF 0.80 · 400 V

Power Factor

Calculates apparent power, reactive power, and current from real power and power factor.

Why you need it

So generators, UPS systems, and supplies are not sized from real power alone.

11 / 14
LAN Scanner: Lab network · 3 devices found

LAN Scanner

Searches a local IPv4 range for reachable devices and optionally resolves hostnames.

Why you need it

So unknown or poorly documented devices can be found on the local production network.

12 / 14
Network Protocol Detector: Art-Net · sACN · NDI active

Network Protocol Detector

Detects relevant Art-Net, sACN, MA-Net, NDI, Dante, AES67, and other AV network traffic.

Why you need it

So you can see which AV systems are actually transmitting on the production network.

13 / 14
Data Transfer Time: 100 GB · 1 Gbit/s · 13:20

Data Transfer Time

Calculates expected transfer duration from data volume and available throughput.

Why you need it

So copy windows, backups, and media handovers can be scheduled realistically.

14 / 14
Timecode Calculator: 29.97 DF · 01:00:00;29

Timecode Calculator

Adds and subtracts SMPTE timecodes with correct drop-frame numbering at 29.97/59.94 fps.

Why you need it

So cue times and show durations stay exact across frame rates, not just estimated.

ONE TOOLKIT / FOUR PHASES

From planning to troubleshooting.

AV Toolkit supports the technical flow of a production with the same clear inputs and results — whether you are preparing, setting up, or isolating a problem.

PLAN01

Turn requirements into reliable numbers.

Calculate image sizes, lenses, LED surfaces, and power demand before equipment is booked or built.

ProjectionLensPower
SET UP02

Put addresses and positions into action.

Patch fixtures, distribute devices, and carry values straight into the setup.

DIP SwitchPatcherSpacing
VERIFY03

Check the result on site.

Clear units, visualizations, and limits help you verify settings without losing technical context.

Voltage DropBeamScaling
TROUBLESHOOT04

Isolate network issues systematically.

Test reachability, find devices, and detect AV protocols directly on the production network.

WHAT IT IS / WHAT IT ISN'T

Short and honest.

Before you download: what AV Toolkit is built for — and what it isn't.

Who is AV Toolkit for?

For AV technicians and crews across planning, setup, and operation — video, audio, lighting, power, and IT. If you need reliable numbers on productions instead of guesswork, it's for you.

Does it replace my measurement hardware or console?

No — by design. AV Toolkit calculates, converts, and verifies. It doesn't control a show and doesn't replace calibrated measurement gear. It's the fast field tool, not the lab.

Do I need an account or internet?

No. Every calculator runs offline on the device. Network access is used only by the tool you currently have open — and only then.

Are my inputs stored or synced?

Calculations and settings stay local on your iPhone or iPad. No cloud, no analytics SDK, no advertising profile.

Does it run on Android or my older iPhone?

AV Toolkit is a native app for iPhone and iPad, iOS 18 and later. There is no Android version.

Are the network tools safe on a production network?

Yes. They discover and verify passively — reachability, devices, and AV protocols on the network. They don't intervene, reconfigure, or change other devices.

What does AV Toolkit cost?

€29.99 as a one-time purchase. No subscription, no in-app purchases — all 31 tools included.
